Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2004 Ford F-53 RM73RR- Video
Hi there, motorhome owners. Today, on your 2004 Ford F-53 chassis motorhome, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Exact Center steering stabilizer. We'll be using the custom bracket kit as well for our Class A motorhome here. All right, so before we install the steering stabilizer and really feel the difference that we've got, we've got an older motorhome here, this one is getting kinda redone by the customer, so he's already kinda looked over at the suspension and made sure things are good, he's had a lot of that serviced, now he's working on the interior, but he wants it to be the best driving experience possible, we're gonna hit our test course here with it just stock and then we'll install our steering stabilizer and hit the course again and see the difference. So, we're just gonna go over our bumps course first. This is gonna be our uneven bumps. more

And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. This is going to be a direct replacement sway bar, and you do get not just a sway bar, but also new end links and all the hardware to install it. So, end links are actually a pretty common fail point along with bushings on sway bars. So, if you've got a motor home out there that's making a little clunk noise, doesn't seem like it's, seems like it sways a little more than it used to, and you get down here and inspect it. more

And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. It installs right onto the hangers for your shocks right here at the bottom. And it's an additional sway bar that is installed here at the rear. Our factory sway bar is still present right here, heading towards the front of the vehicle off on the front of our axle. And our new sway bar here is installed towards the rear of the axle. This is gonna work in conjunction with your factory sway bar to further reduce sway. more

Hi there motor homeowners', today in your 2020 Ford F-53 Chassis motor home, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster sway bar for the rear axle. And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. This is an additional sway bar that we're putting on the rear axle here that works in conjunction with the factory sway bar, and you can actually see a little bit of the factory sway bar hanging down here. The factory sway bar is just on the front side of your rear axle. And the one that we're adding from Roadmaster here goes on the rear side of our rear axle. By adding an additional sway bar, we're gonna get significant improvements in anti-sway cause whenever our motor home wants to rock to the left or to the right, this component here wants to remain in its normal resting position that we've got it in here. more

So here we've got our new sway bar, right next to our factory one here. Just wanted to give you a quick look so you could see how they differ from one another and right off the bat, you can see that this is a larger diameter than what our old bar was. So not only is this gonna be a stronger bar because there's just more material there, but this is a very high quality steel that constructs our bar. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster rear sway bar on a 2018 Thor Windsport. Here, we have our sway bar installed and you can actually see we have this new sway bar but we also have our existing one because this doesn't replace the rear sway bar, it's in addition to. So really it's gonna just kinda beef up what this one can't handle and that's really gonna smooth a lot of things out, whether it be a quick turn you're gonna notice the difference, wind gust while you're driving on the highway, being on uneven road and just overall, you're not gonna have to white-knuckle as much. Sway bars really keep the vehicle balanced by using the weight of the vehicle and the offset of the suspension on the other side to counteract it and that way your vehicle's not tipping, 'cause as it tips, it actually pushes that pressure back on the other one and that's gonna keep you stable. Now, if you've driven in windy conditions on the highway or just kind of rough roads, you really are having to fight the wheel quite often, and that makes for an exhausting time while driving. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Front Sway Bar on a 2018 Thor Wind Sport. Here, we have it installed. You can see, it mounts to our factory points, so it's an easy upgrade that you're gonna notice pretty quickly as soon as you make a turn. It uses new hardware but it uses all the existing mounting points, so there's no drilling, cutting or welding involved. So, here, we have our factory sway bar that we just removed and here's our Roadmaster which will be going on. And you can see right away that this has a larger diameter. more

Now we're gonna go over a few bumps which with the sway bar you're really not gonna notice too much of a difference. It might tighten the suspension up a little as it goes over maybe off centered bumps. But as far as like your straight speed bumps, it shouldn't really cause an issue because as the rear sway bar moves up and down, it's not really affecting it too much. more

Hi there, Thor owners. Today in your 2016 Thor Miramar, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar. Now before we install our components, we're gonna go ahead in our test course to get a baseline on how our motorhome feels. We're gonna start with the uneven bumps section, which is gonna simulate hitting a pothole, and right away, once we hit that first one, we get some rock and going back and forth there. So we can tell there's a little bit of slight lift pretty good rock just from just for one little bump there. You can really hear it in the back. more

Our customer's trying combat sway and also the fatigue he gets driving down the road, so to assist us in correcting all of his issues, we're also gonna be putting on Roadmaster's front and rear anti-sway bar. All those things together should make his driving much more pleasant in his motor home. Now, before we put on our suspension upgrades, we wanna take and get baseline of how our motor home rides before we put anything on it. So we're gonna compare our factory components here, and some of the things that I'm going to expect to see here with this one, is we're likely going to have quite a bit of sway with just our stock sway bars on there. more

If you're combating sway, Roadmaster's rear anti-sway bar is a great option to help minimize that sway. But some additional items you might wanna consider along with that is a front sway bar from Roadmaster. That's gonna be a replacement bar that's going to further reduce the amount of sway up in the front of your motorhome. It's gonna work with the rear one in conjunction to minimize that sway as best as possible. more
